IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Appointment bookings
booking in advance is crucial if you have specific preferences for a therapist or if you need appointments during evenings or weekends when slots tend to fill up quickly. For popular therapists or peak times such as summer and the holiday season leading up to Christmas, it’s recommended that regular clients schedule appointments well ahead, sometimes up to 6-12 weeks in advance. This proactive approach helps to secure your desired time slot and ensures you don’t miss out on the services you need.
Arrival Time
It’s a good practice to arrive at the salon about 10 minutes before your scheduled appointment time to allow for any necessary paperwork and to ensure a smooth transition into your treatment. For regular clients, a 5-minute buffer may be sufficient. Arriving late can potentially impact the duration of your treatment as scheduled and may lead to a reduction in treatment time while still being charged the full treatment price. This policy ensures that the salon can maintain its schedule and provide quality service to all clients throughout the day.
Medical Conditions & Pregnancy
It’s important for clients with medical conditions or allergies, such as pregnancy or cancer, to inform the salon at the time of booking treatments. This information is crucial as it allows the salon to provide appropriate advice on which treatments are best suited for you. By being aware of your medical history and specific needs, the salon can ensure your safety and well-being during the treatment process. Transparency about your health conditions enables the salon to customize the services to meet your requirements and provide you with the best possible experience.
Cancellation Policy
It’s standard practice for many salons and spas to require a minimum of 24 hours’ notice for appointment cancellations. This policy is in place due to the high demand for appointments and the need to manage the schedule effectively. If you fail to provide the required 24 hours’ notice for cancellation, you may be subject to a cancellation fee, often around 50% of the treatment cost. This policy helps to compensate for the lost revenue from the missed appointment and also encourages clients to be respectful of the salon’s time and resources. It’s important to adhere to the salon’s cancellation policy to avoid any unnecessary charges and to allow other clients the opportunity to book the available time slot.
No Show’s
It’s understandable that missed appointments, especially “No Show” appointments, can have a significant impact on the salon’s business operations and revenue. By implementing a policy to charge the full treatment price for “No Show” appointments and requiring the charges to be settled before booking future appointments, please communicate any changes or cancellations in a timely manner to avoid any inconvenience or charges.
